The outage reports come after a massive internet blackout on Tuesday which brought down hundreds of websites across the world.
That blackout, which was been blamed on a single unnamed IT customer, prevented millions of people from accessing sites including Amazon, Spotify and Netflix, as well as the BBC, UK government and the White House.
It was caused by a software bug triggered when a customer for Fastly – the US cloud-computing company responsible for the problems – changed their settings, the firm said.
It was not immediately clear if the Facebook outage on Wednesday was related to the larger outage.
